Soundscapes were created for different rooms. In the Renaissance lounge, the soundscape evokes the "Chinese festival" of 1903. The Chinese room, for its part, offers a meditative atmosphere punctuated by sonic eruptions of gongs, which convey the writer's fascination with the sacred sites of China. Finally, a "sound lounge" allows visitors to listen to excerpts from Pierre Loti's works and correspondence.
