« Un Orchestre à soi » s a musical, documentary, and collaborative installation that aims to introduce the general public to the musical matrimoine (women’s heritage) while shedding light on the historical erasure of female composers and their rediscovery. An interactive interface allows participants to record themselves singing a selection of works in a karaoke-like experience. The voice is analyzed in real time by a custom program that selects and integrates sung excerpts into the sound composition of the installation. As a result, visitors may hear their own voices as part of the installation during their time in the space.
